Happy New Year!

A new year is upon us! You know what that means: it's time to update the footer of the home page so it includes 2025 now. In all seriousness, let me wish you a happy new year. May you find warmth and happiness along your way.

The beginning of a new year is always a good time for reflection. Whether you're crushing all your goals or still trying to figure out what those goals even are, I think it's important to keep in mind that every day is a new opportunity to start over. I can't help but think of the lyrics from the song "Lightness" by Peter and the Wolf:

"Every morning is another chance
to see a different me
Carry only memories
maybe then a lightness will come to me"

May we find lightness this 2025.

The Road I've Travelled

The year 2024 brought me both challenges and satisfactions. I finally graduated college and had the opportunity to share my art with the community. It was also Perlita's first full year on this earth, so for the first time she saw the promise of spring being fulfilled.

The Road Ahead

I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried about the state of the world, although I am also excited about this year in personal terms. After all, it's my first year post-graduation, which also coincides with the age my frontal lobe is supposed to reach full development. (This can't be all the development I'm getting, please.) It feels like the theme for this year will be finding my place—finding my place in the world, finding my place online, finding my place professionally. It has shaped up to be an exciting year.
